Heavenly Father, we ask for leaders, officials, and legislators who are accountable to You. Guide their hearts toward truth, humility, and service. Let their actions and motives be as clear as the brightest day, and bring every hidden deception, abuse of power, and pursuit of selfish gain into the light.
Grant them wisdom to govern justly, courage to uphold what is right, and compassion for those whose voices too often go unheard. Remind them that public office is a responsibility entrusted to them, not a privilege to exploit.
As we honor You through our respect for those chosen to lead, may that respect be returned through honest representation, faithful stewardship, and a sincere commitment to the people they serve. Help us fulfill our duties as citizens without surrendering our consciences or placing earthly authority above Your truth.
Thank You for Your guidance and instruction as we balance our responsibilities toward You and our fellow citizens. Keep us from bitterness, indifference, and blind allegiance. Bless this nation, strengthen our communities, and turn our hearts toward You. May our freedom serve goodness for generations. Amen.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:13 NIV
“The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them.” — Patrick Henry 1788
