Heavenly Father, We come before You asking for wisdom, mercy, and peace among the nations. Guide the leaders of the United States and every nation with humility, discernment, and integrity. Guard them against pride, deception, corruption, and the pursuit of power without regard for justice.
Lord, restrain aggression and bring an end to wars that devastate families and destroy communities. Protect civilians, comfort grieving parents, shelter refugees, strengthen humanitarian workers, and sustain those who serve far from home. Give diplomats courage to speak truthfully and perseverance to seek peaceful solutions even when negotiations are difficult.
Teach America to exercise its influence responsibly, defend human dignity, honor its commitments, and pursue justice without hatred. Help our citizens disagree without division and remember the humanity of people beyond our borders.
We thank You for courageous service members, faithful public servants, generous relief workers, enduring friendships among nations, and every effort that prevents suffering or restores hope.
Bless the peacemakers, grant wisdom from above, and help us do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. May truth guide our decisions, compassion shape our actions, and peace with justice become our enduring aim. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 NIV
“Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her [America’s] heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.” — John Quincy Adams in his Fourth of July Address of 1821
