Heavenly Father, Creator and Sustainer of our nation, we thank You for the gifts of American culture: our music and literature, our traditions and discoveries, our freedom to speak and worship, and the many hands that build, teach, create, and serve. Thank You for families who nurture children, teachers who impart wisdom, churches that speaking Your Word and neighbors who show kindness. We bring before You America and the culture we shape together. Thank You for the beauty of this land, the gifts of its people, and the freedom to worship, create, learn, and serve.
Father, we humbly seek Your divine intervention in liberating our culture from the oppressive influence of the enemy. We earnestly pray that You would strengthen, expand, and deepen the profound impact of Christ in every aspect of our nation.
Give wisdom and integrity to those who shape our public lives. Help writers, musicians, filmmakers, journalists, and educators create with courage and care. Protect children from exploitation, strengthen families, comfort the lonely.
Teach us to dwell on what is true, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. Preserve freedom of conscience, and help us disagree without hatred. By Your grace, renew our lives and interactions. Cleanse our land from its wickedness, O God! Let it begin with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT
“There is no other book so various as the Bible, nor one so full of concentrated wisdom. Whether it be of law, business, morals, or that vision which leads the imagination in the creation of constructive enterprises for the happiness of mankind, he who seeks for guidance in any of these things may look inside its covers and find illumination. As a nation we are indebted to the Book of Books for our national ideals and representative institutions. Their preservation rests in adhering to its principles.” — President Herbert Hoover May 5, 1929
