Heavenly Father, Your word is truth, and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We bring America and all her people before You, asking for hearts that seek what is true and hands willing to do what is right.
We thank You that You are faithful, unchanging, and true. When human opinions shift and the values of society are tested by changing times, You remain the same. Your Word endures, Your promises stand, and Your character is worthy of our complete trust.
We pray for America and the American people. Guard us from deception, dishonesty, confusion, and the temptation to believe only what confirms what we already desire. Teach us to seek what is true even when truth is uncomfortable. Help us distinguish fact from rumor, conviction from prejudice, and honest disagreement from falsehood. Give us courage to admit our mistakes and grace to speak the truth in love.
We thank You for the freedom to seek knowledge, examine our history, speak openly, and pursue justice. May truth strengthen our families, communities, institutions, and national life.
Lord Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life. Lead America in paths of truth, righteousness, humility, and peace. May our nation increasingly love what is true and live by it. In Your unchanging name, Amen.
These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace. Zechariah 8:16 ESV
“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” — John Adams December 1770
