Almighty God, giver of every good gift, we thank You for this land and for the freedoms we inherit. We thank You for neighbors who serve, for churches and charities that give, and for first responders and service members who stand watch while we sleep.
Heal our divisions, Lord. Teach us to pursue peace, to speak truth in love, and to live peaceably with all, as far as it depends on us. Give our leaders wisdom, humility, and courage. Let justice run fair and mercy be loved. Forgive our pride, anger, and indifference.
Bless our homes with peace, our children with safety, and our communities with trust. Comfort the grieving and the fearful, and protect the vulnerable. Let us seek the good of our cities and pray for them, as You have taught us.
May we walk humbly with You, and may the blessings of liberty rest on us and on our children. Make us peacemakers, and let quiet and peaceable lives flourish across America.
