Pray for Our Nation: Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches

Almighty Father, who rules over the universe and presides, we lift up to You the government You have permitted us to have, asking that Your blessing rest upon every branch of it.

For the Executive: grant the President, Vice President, Cabinet, and all who serve under them the fear of God and a humble heart. Give wisdom in decisions of war and peace, mercy and justice, made swiftly and under great weight. Surround them with honest counselors, guard them from flattery and isolation, and protect their families and all who serve in harm’s way.

For the Legislature: give our senators and representatives integrity that outlasts ambition. Let their debate be honest and free of contempt. Make them defenders of the unborn, the poor, the elderly, the stranger, and the wrongly accused. Let them be reminded that they represent the people and not selves. Grant them faithful stewardship of what belongs to generations not yet born.

For the Judiciary: raise up judges who will not be moved by wealth, pressure, threats, or applause. Let them not pervert justice or show partiality. Join mercy to their judgments, protect all who serve in our courts, and restore the people’s trust. Guild their decisions to be true and based on our constitution.

We thank You for ordered liberty, peaceful transfers of power, open courts, and freedom to worship. Unless You build this house, we labor in vain.
