Heavenly Father, We lift up the state of Oklahoma and all who call it home. Thank You for its wide skies, rich red soil, rolling plains, and the deep roots of its people—all who have built their lives upon this land.
We thank You for the churches and ministries that server their communities in Your name. Continue to provide for their needs, give them rest when weary and strength when tired.
Bless the families of Oklahoma with strength, health, and peace. Protect them from the storms that cross the plains, and give courage and wisdom to those who serve in times of trial. Watch over the farmers who work the earth, the workers who extract its resources, and the communities that sustain one another through every season.
Grant wisdom to the leaders of the state. Let justice, honesty, and care for the common good guide their decisions. Heal divisions where they exist, and knit hearts together in mutual respect and kindness.
There is a growing need for healthcare, many of those in small towns have to travel long distances to find care, and facilities and treatment centers for addiction lack funding. Let Your provision and healing be seen across this land.
May Oklahoma be a place of resilience, generosity, and faithfulness. Let its people flourish under Your care, and may the land itself be a blessing for generations to come.
In Your mercy, hear this prayer. Amen.
Each will be like a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land. Isaiah 32:2 ESV
“I like to call the ethos I grew up with ‘Oklahoma values.’ But you’d be just as accurate if you said ‘American values.’ Except for our lack of a seacoast, Oklahoma has a little bit of just about everything that’s American.” — J. C. Watts
