Lord, we lift up the amazing state of North Dakota before You. Thank You for its wide-open skies, rolling prairies, rich soil that feeds so many, and the strength of its people. Thank You for the breathtaking beauty of the Badlands and the remarkable landscape You created.
Bless the farmers and ranchers who work the land through long winters and short summers. Protect them from drought, wildfires, and every hardship. Watch over the oil workers, teachers, medical workers, shopkeepers, and every family building a life here.
Give wisdom to those who lead and kindness to those who serve. Let Your love wash over the reservations. Bring healing to wounds, let voices be heard, and strengthen every community. Bless the churches and ministries that faithfully serve throughout the state.
In times of blizzard, drought, flood, and hardship, be their shelter and strength. In times of harvest and plenty, bless them with abundance.
May the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, which has long defined this place, continue to grow. May North Dakota remain a land of honest work, quiet faith, and enduring community.
Watch over this beautiful and rugged land, and all who call it home. May Your peace rest upon North Dakota now and always. Amen.
Out of the north comes golden splendor; God is clothed with awesome majesty. Job 37:22 ESV
“After nightfall the face of the country seems to alter marvelously, and the clear moonlight only intensifies the change. The river gleams like running quicksilver, and the moonbeams play over the grassy stretches of the plateaus…The Bad Lands seem to be stranger and wilder than ever, the silvery rays turning the country into a kind of grim fairyland.” — Theodore Roosevelt
