We come before You with grateful hearts for the great state of New York—its mountains and lakes, its rivers and farms, its bustling cities and quiet towns, and the millions of people You have placed within its borders. Thank You for the beauty of Your creation that stretches from the Adirondacks to the shores of Long Island, and for the rich history and diversity that mark this land.
Lord, we lift up every resident of New York State. You know each name, each story, each struggle, and each hope. Pour out Your mercy and grace upon them. Where there is loneliness, bring Your presence. Where there is fear, bring Your peace. Where there is brokenness, bring Your healing. Draw many hearts to Yourself, that they may know the love of Jesus Christ, who gave His life for them.
We pray for the leaders of this state—those in Albany, in city halls, and in every place of influence. Grant them wisdom that comes from above, integrity of heart, and a deep concern for justice and the common good. May they seek what is right in Your sight and work for the flourishing of all people, especially the vulnerable, the poor, and the oppressed.
Father, we intercede for the churches and believers across New York. Strengthen pastors and congregations in every borough, every county, and every small town. Unite Your people in love and truth. Awaken a fresh hunger for Your Word and Your Spirit. Raise up a generation that will live as light in the midst of darkness, speaking hope, showing compassion, and pointing others to the cross of Christ.
We ask that Your kingdom would come and Your will would be done in New York State as it is in heaven. Let the name of Jesus be lifted high, and let the people of this state come to know that You have not given up on them—that You love them with an everlasting love. Amen
