Lord of the wide open plains and fertile fields, we come before You in gratitude for this land of prairie and promise. Thank You for rich soil that feeds a nation, for the quiet strength of its people, and for neighbors who show up for one another when hardship comes.

We ask for rain upon dry ground and healing for those whose land and livelihood have been touched by fire and drought. Restore what has been lost, and give farmers and ranchers patience, provision, and hope for the seasons ahead.

We pray for small towns striving to hold onto their young people and their spirit, that these communities would flourish and their children find reason to stay and build. Strengthen every church, family, and neighbor who quietly serves others.

Renew a hunger for You among all generations, and let justice, equality, and righteousness take root in hearts and laws alike. Comfort the weary, lift the discouraged, and bind up the anxious in Your peace.

Bless this land, guard its people, and let faith grow as wide as its skies. Amen.

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2 ESV

“The one thing that is constant is that our God is a good and generous and giving God … I think it is really, really important that we don’t lose our faith.” — Governor Jim Pillen June 18, 2026 Day of Prayer for Nebraska Agriculture
