Almighty God, we lift up Louisiana to You — a land of bayous and bright rivers, of Cajun song and Creole spirit, grateful, as her own constitution declares, for the liberties You have given.
Lord, watch over her coasts as hurricane season rolls in; calm the winds and waves, and protect every family in the storm’s path. Slow the erosion of her wetlands, and provide for those whose livelihoods depend on this fragile land and abundant waters. Where poverty, crime, and despair have taken root, bring healing, opportunity, and hope.
Raise up leaders in Baton Rouge and every parish courthouse who govern with humility, integrity, and justice, as so many have already prayed at her Capitol steps.
We thank You for the revival stirring across this state — for the thousands finding new life in Christ, for the churches faithfully discipling the next generation, for the ministries reaching veterans, the poor, and the forgotten. Bind Louisiana’s diverse peoples together in unity and love. Let her be, in truth, “a state under God,” where justice prevails and Your blessing overflows so abundantly that the whole nation takes notice. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
