Lord God, we thank You for Florida and for the many blessings You have placed in this state. We praise You for its beaches, sunsets, year-round beauty, and diverse communities, and we thank You for hospitals, chaplains, churches, and spiritual care ministries that serve people with compassion. We also give You thanks for solid and effective state government leaders who work with diligence and responsibility for the good of Florida.
We ask You for healing over the burdens Florida carries—natural disasters, addiction, mental illness, loneliness, and the pressures of housing and economic stress. Bring peace to families in crisis, strength to the elderly, students, immigrants, and workers, and wisdom to all who are making difficult decisions for this state.
Stir a deeper hunger for prayer, Scripture, and spiritual renewal across Florida. Unite churches across cultures and denominations, and raise up pastors, chaplains, and believers who will serve with courage, joy, and practical love. Let Your light shine in every city, neighborhood, coast, and community, and let Florida be marked by gratitude, faith, and revival. Amen.
[S]o that you may prove yourselves to be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:45 NASB
“Truth is not subject to a popular vote, and it doesn’t follow popular fads. The church is to shape the times through faith, not to exchange these timeless truths for temporary relevance. North is still north. Right is still right, even when you have to stand all by yourself. … Truth must also be central to our civic life as Americans. I think it’s important to say this [during] the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. This should be a time where we all reflect on the principles on which this country was founded and that made it great.” — Governor Ron DeSantis Commencement Address at Ave Maria University May 9, 2026
