Lord God, we thank You for the people and churches of California, and for the large and diverse Christian presence You have planted here. We praise You for congregations that value unity in diversity, with many backgrounds and languages coming together to worship one God, and for believers who carry the gospel into arts, technology, education, and public life.
Deepen discipleship and holiness among Your people in California. Make Your church courageous and clear, able to speak truth with grace, to live distinctly Christlike lives amid cultural pressure, and to serve neighbors sacrificially. Knit together pastors and congregations across ethnic, cultural, and denominational lines so that the Body of Christ moves in unity.
We ask Your mercy over California’s heavy burdens—addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and a severe housing crisis. Bring freedom to those caught in substance use, comfort to those battling anxiety and depression, and provision for those without stable homes or sufficient income. Strengthen ministries, churches, and providers serving on the front lines with recovery, supportive housing, and integrated care. Thank You for every sign of progress, including areas where unsheltered homelessness is beginning to decline. Let Your light shine in every neighborhood, city, and rural community across California. Amen.
