Lord God, we thank You for the people and communities of Arkansas, and for the many churches and ministries that lift up the name of Jesus across this state. We praise You for a rich faith heritage, for pastors and congregations who worship, teach, and serve faithfully in cities, towns, and rural communities.
We ask for Your healing hand over Arkansas where addiction, substance abuse, and mental illness are causing deep pain for individuals and families. Bring freedom from alcohol, opioids, meth, and other drugs, and comfort those walking through depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. Strengthen recovery programs, counselors, and treatment centers with courage, compassion, and endurance.
Lord, provide stability for families facing poverty, housing insecurity, and crime. Open doors for safe homes, good work, and supportive communities. Encourage and renew pastors, lay leaders, and believers who carry heavy burdens of caregiving and counseling.
Bless faith-based outreach and partnerships that connect churches with public health and community wellbeing. Grant wisdom and integrity to Arkansas’s leaders, and let Your church walk in unity, mercy, and truth. May hope, righteousness, and the light of Christ grow stronger in every county of Arkansas. Amen.
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 ESV
“’Tis a land full of joy and of sunshine, Rich in pearls and in diamonds rare, Full of hope, faith, and love for the stranger, Who may pass ‘neath her portals fair; There the rice fields are full, And the cotton, corn and hay, There the fruits of the field Bloom in the winter months and May, ‘Tis the land that I love, first of all, dear, And to her let us all give cheer.” — Mrs. Eva Ware Barnett “Arkansas State Song” (1987)
