Our Heavenly Founding Father, We The People, come before You with grateful hearts, giving thanks for the blessing of liberty You have bestowed upon this nation. As we commemorate 250 years since the birth of the United States, we pause to remember that every good gift, and every enduring freedom, finds its source in You.

Lord, we thank You for the courage You placed in the hearts of those who first declared independence, for the wisdom granted to those who framed our laws, and for the countless men and women who have stood in defense of this land through every generation. May their sacrifices never be forgotten, and may their legacy inspire us to walk in righteousness and truth.

We ask Your continued blessing upon our country. Strengthen us where we are divided, guide us where we are uncertain, and humble us where we have strayed. Renew in us a spirit of unity, grounded not only in shared history, but in a shared commitment to justice, mercy, and the dignity of every person.

Father, remind us that freedom is not only a gift to be celebrated, but a responsibility to be stewarded. Help us to live as people worthy of that gift—seeking what is right, loving our neighbors, and honoring You in both word and deed.

As we mark this milestone of 250 years, may Your hand continue to rest upon this nation. May we look to You as our foundation, our guide, and our hope for the future.

We give You all glory and thanks, now and always. In Your holy name we pray, Amen.

God Bless America! God Bless the USA!

Live as people who are free. 1 Peter 2:16 ESV

“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.

You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. — I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.” – John Adams a Letter to Abigail Adams 3 July 1776
