Sovereign Lord, Author of liberty and truth, We the People, come before You with gratitude for the sacred trust You have placed in the hands of the people. You have endowed us with the responsibility to govern wisely, to speak with conviction, and to uphold justice in accordance with Your higher law. We acknowledge that it is not the government that grants us our rights, but You, our Creator, who has inspired the foundations upon which our nation stands. Grant us the wisdom and discernment to exercise this authority with humility and righteousness. Guard our hearts against pride, corruption, and complacency. Let not this power be abused, nor quietly taken from the hands of the people, but preserved through vigilance, courage, and faith. Stir within both our leaders and our citizens a renewed understanding of their rightful roles. Teach us to rightly divide the responsibilities of government and the duties of individuals, according to Your divine order. May our leaders govern with integrity and restraint, and may our citizens act with responsibility, virtue, and truth. Lord, guide this nation back to the principles rooted in Your word. May we seek not only freedom, but righteousness; not only rights, but accountability before You. In all things, may Your will be done, and may this land remain a beacon of liberty under Your sovereign hand.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV

“Ours was the first revolution in the history of mankind that truly reversed the course of government, and with three little words: ‘We the People.’ ‘We the People’ tell the government what to do; it doesn’t tell us. ‘We the People’ are the driver; the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world’s constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which ‘We the People’ tell the government what it is allowed to do. ‘We the People’ are free.” – Ronald Regan’s Farewell Address to the Nation January 11, 1989

Hold Fast, Spread the Word and God Save the Republic.

Operation World Pray for India : Jammu and Kashmir endure tragic suffering and conflict. Almost all groups in Jammu and Kashmir remain unreached. The Kashmir Valley region is 97% Muslim, the Jammu region is 66% Hindu, and the Ladakh region is 46% Buddhist. Pray especially for a breakthrough among the more isolated Buddhist peoples.

 * Pakistan and India both claim possession of Kashmir since the partition of India (1947). Islamic militants fight to either join Pakistan or have an independent state. So far 40,000 have died, and 800,000 lost their homes in this war. In 2019, the Hindu nationalist Indian government recently removed Kashmir’s special status, arrested local political leaders, introduced thousands of military troops, and denied mobile phone services and foreign journalist access in efforts to assert greater control over a region that is predominantly Muslim.

 * Christians have always been few, but in some places whole villages have now come to faith! Many feel tired of the hatred and violence, and find hope and peace in Christ. Christian growth usually meets persecution from families and communities. Pray for the protection of new believers and Christian workers.
