Great Provider,We come before You with grateful hearts for the men and women who labor in the fields, tend the herds, and rise before dawn to provide for our nation. You have ordained the rhythms of seedtime and harvest, and through their hands, You sustain us all. Lord, You see the thankless toil, the long days beneath the blazing sun and the weary evenings under open skies, the worry for rain. Strengthen their worn bodies and renew their spirits. When burdens grow heavy, grant them endurance. When uncertainty looms, grant them peace. We ask for Your blessing upon their land. Send the gentle rains in their season and the warmth of the sun in its time. Protect their crops from drought and storm, their livestock from harm, and their livelihoods from ruin. Let the earth yield its increase in abundance, as a testimony of Your faithful provision. Watch over their families, O Lord. Guard their homes with Your presence. Provide comfort in hardship, unity in trial, and joy in the fruits of their labor. May their children grow in strength, character, and gratitude for the life You have given them. You have shown us that agriculture is a continual miracle—where the seed cast into the ground returns multiplied by Your divine hand. Let us never take for granted this sacred stewardship between heaven and earth. Bless our farmers and ranchers, Lord, for theirs is a wise and noble pursuit—one that nourishes not only our bodies, but the moral strength and happiness of our nation. May they always feel Your presence in every furrow, every pasture, and every harvest.
It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. 2 Timothy 2:6 ESV
“Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, and happiness.” – Thomas Jefferson
“There seem to be but three ways for a nation to acquire wealth. The first is by war, as the Romans did, in plundering their conquered neighbors. This is robbery. The second by commerce, which is generally cheating. The third by agriculture, the only honest way, wherein man receives a real increase of the seed thrown into the ground, in a kind of continual miracle, wrought by the hand of God in his favor, as a reward for his innocent life and his virtuous industry.” – Benjamin Franklin

Operation World Pray for India : Assam: Assam remains the major spiritual challenge in Northeast India. After 2 centuries of missions, Christians are only a small minority. Most tribal peoples remain unreached. Few Christians witness to the 9.7 million Muslims (who speak mostly Bengali) or the Hindu majority (who speak Assamese). The tea-estate workers are migrant peoples or tribal minorities from other states. Most are open to the gospel, but few Christians are there to share it. Pray for a new wave of loving witness, especially to those who are open to the Gospel.
