Heavenly Father, We come before You in a world filled with noise, distraction, and endless demands. Help us to set aside the busyness that crowds our hearts and minds, and quiet our spirits in Your presence. Teach us to listen—not only with our ears, but with attentive and willing hearts—to Your guidance, Your instruction, and Your living Word. Grant us the wisdom that comes from above, the wisdom that is pure and undefiled. Let it take root within us, shaping our thoughts and actions. Make us peaceable in our dealings, gentle in our responses, and open to reason when we are challenged or corrected. Fill us with mercy, that we may reflect Your compassion to others, and let our lives bear good fruits that honor You. Keep us impartial and sincere, free from pride, pretense, and division. Form in us a steady spirit that seeks truth, loves righteousness, and walks humbly in Your ways. In the stillness, speak to us, Lord—and give us the grace to follow where You lead.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 ESV
“Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.” – Charles H. Spurgeon

Operation World Pray for Holy See (Vatican City) : The Vatican leadership plays a large role in the faith and lives of Roman Catholics. It also greatly influences the wider world. The Pope is one of the world’s most powerful and influential people. Francis left a positive legacy in several areas, due to his humility, simplicity, and concern for the poor and vulnerable. In Leo – the first pope from the USA and the first from the Augustinian order – there is opportunity for fresh impetus and new initiatives. His initial emphases on the centrality of Christ and the importance of preaching and evangelism are encouraging. Pray for God’s grace for this man, and for the Holy Spirit to guide him into all truth.
