Heavenly Father, As a nation built by immigrants, we lift up those who are newly arriving on our shores. Grant them Your protection in times of uncertainty and Your direction as they seek a place to belong. Surround them with kindness, provide for their needs, and guide their steps toward hope and stability. May we, as a people, welcome them with compassion and reflect Your love in our words and actions.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 ESV

“Never under any condition should this Nation look at an immigrant as primarily a labor unit. He should always be looked at primarily as a future citizen and the father of other citizens who are to live in this land as fellows with our children and our children’s children. Our immigration laws, permanent or temporary, should always be constructed with this fact in view.” – President Theodore Roosevelt December 1, 1917

Hold Fast, Spread the Word and God Save the Republic.

Operation World Pray for Georgia : Georgia has, for the most part, enjoyed positive social, economic, and political changes since the end of the USSR. Openness to spirituality and Christianity in particular increased greatly in the early days of independence. But the August War of 2008, when Russian troops briefly occupied much of the country, reversed much of the good economic progress. As a result, the Abkhazia and South Ossetia regions now function as de facto independent republics (supported by Russia), but these are unrecognized as countries by most of the world. Being Russia’s neighbour is not easy. Georgia is currently experiencing a deep fissure between pro-Russian and pre-EU groups. This includes a boycott of the 2024 presidential election that led to an unconstested victory by the current (pro-Russian) President who is regarded as illegitimate by many, including the EU. Pray that Georgians might find a way to heal this deep rift – few countries have ever managed successfully, but God is able to work miracles when a nation puts its trust in Him.
