Father God, Thank You for the gift of grandparents, for the wisdom they carry and the stories that connect us to the past. Bless them for their love, their guidance, and the quiet strength they share through experience. Help us to honor them, to listen well, and to learn from their lives. May their encouragement give us faith in ourselves, courage to work hard, and hope to pursue all we are called to be. Let the bond between generations remain strong, filled with love, respect, and joy in one another.
They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be rich and fresh. Psalm 92:14 LSB
“America’s grandparents are truly a national treasure and a living resource. Most of us can remember having long talks with our grandparents and hearing stories of days gone by. They form a link to the past that is far more colorful and personal than what we read in history books. Their knowledge and wisdom come from experience — they are an invaluable source of advice to us.
The special attachment between grandparent and grandchild is one of love spanning two generations. A grandchild looks up to his grandparents with respect and admiration while grandparents view their grandchildren with great pride and rejoice at their every accomplishment.
Our grandparents encourage us in every way to have faith in ourselves, to work hard, and to achieve all that we can. We learn from their example, and we gain inspirations from their success.” – Ronald Reagan Message on the Observance of Grandparents Day September 10, 1983

Operation World Pray for Ethiopia : The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is enduring a time of immense change. Centuries of isolation from the rest of the Christian world – as a Christian island in a sea of Islam – helped form its unique culture, theology and traditions. The Orthodox Church is being challenged by the growth of both Islam and contemporary Christian movements, but its roots run deep. Pray for God to bring new vibrancy to this ancient faith.
