Dear God, the conventional thought in society for too long now, is that it is acceptable, even normal, to take the life of an innocent child. Now people are believing it is a reasonable action to harm or even to kill a person that they believe is wrong or consider to be bad, or have been told to think that is the case.
We come before You with heavy hearts, recognizing how far our thinking has drifted from the truth You planted within us. In a world where the taking of innocent life has been normalized, we grieve the loss not only of life, but of conscience. What was once unthinkable has become accepted, and what is sacred is too often treated as disposable.
Lord, we ask that You move gently but powerfully within the hearts of those who have come to see harm as justified. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is hardness, bring tenderness. Where there are lies, restore truth. Help them to see each life—no matter how small, unseen, or vulnerable—as precious and created in Your image.
Renew in all of us a reverence for life. Awaken compassion where it has faded. Restore the understanding that no person is beyond value, and no life is without purpose in Your eyes. Guide us to be people who protect, who speak with grace and truth, and who reflect Your love in a world that desperately needs it. In Your mercy and wisdom, we trust.
In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:10 ESV
“All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.” – Noah Webster 1832 “History of the United States”

Operation World Pray for Egypt : For over 1,000 years, Egypt was a majority-Christian country, even after the Arab Muslim conquest in AD 640. Egypt gave to the Christian world some of its greatest theologians and the monastic movement. Egyptian Christians may be more clearly linked to the original Egyptian civilization that pre-dates the coming of Islam. Some efforts have been made to minimize Egypt’s great Christian heritage, to downplay the size of the Church and to marginalize its contribution to society. But the Church survives. Pray for recognition of its history and role within Egypt and for an even greater role in the future.
