Lord we are eternally grateful that you conquered death. This inescapable conclusion that shadows our short lives, caused by our undeserving sin-soaked brokenness, no longer has any bearing simply because You loved us. Thanking You for this unwarranted gift seems so inadequate, but with Your infinite grace, it is accepted.
His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. … “He is not here, for he has risen” Matthew 28:3,6 (ESV)
O Death, where is thy sting?
O Grave, where is thy victory?
O Life, you are a shining path
And hope springs eternal, just over the rise
When I see my redeemer beckoning me.

1 Corinthians 15:55 (American Recordings VI: Ain’t No Grave)
