Lord, grant us the grace to forgive each other’s mistakes, just as You forgive ours. We seek Your appreciation and respect for the unique ways You created us, each one distinct from the other. Heal the wounds of our past and set us free from division, dissension, deception, and manipulation. We ask You to dismantle the enemy’s attempts to destroy our relationships. As You have made it clear, a house divided against itself cannot stand. Show us, dear Lord, the path to finding common ground in our nation and within our relationships.
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled. Hebrews 12:15

Hold Fast, Spread the Word and God Save the Republic.

Operation World Pray for Burundi : Praise God for relative stability in Burundi after the violent terrors of the 1990s and of 2015. An elected government now includes both major ethnic groups (Hutu and Tutsi). The 2020 election saw a largely peaceful and successful transition of power from one President to the next – not to be taken for granted! Pray for the new parliament elected in 2025. Pray for genuine respect and cooperation between Hutu and Tutsi as these two peoples build Burundi’s future together. Decades of violence and the scars of past atrocities are not overcome easily. Building peace is a painstaking process. Corruption remains a challenge in the country in general, as does the tight grip of poverty and regional instability. Pray for change that lasts, which only the gospel can bring.
