Lord, we pray for wholesome, healthy role models for our children.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Proverbs 31: 25-27
“The strength, the perpetuity, and the destiny of the nation rest upon our homes, established by the law of God, guarded by parental care, regulated by parental authority, and sanctified by parental love… The mothers of our land, who rule the nation as they mold the characters and guide the actions of their sons, live according to God’s holy ordinances, and each, secure and happy in the exclusive love of the father of her children, sheds the warm light of true womanhood, unperverted and unpolluted, upon all within her pure and wholesome family circle… The fathers of our families are the best citizens of the Republic. Wife and children are the sources of patriotism, and conjugal and parental affection beget devotion to the country. The man who is surrounded in his single home with his wife and children has a stake in the country which inspires him with respect for its laws and courage for its defense.” ~ President Grover Cleveland – December 8, 1885

Operation World Pray for Tonga : A strongly Christian nation, Tonga sends significant numbers of missionaries from both Catholic and Protestant traditions, despite its relative poverty and isolation. Much more can be done; pray for the ministries of YWAM and other evangelical groups working toward this.

Operation World Pray for Trinidad & Tobago : Christianity is professed by nearly two-thirds of the population, but true disciples faithful to God’s Word are not so common. Many Christians are nominal; many others are polluted by witchcraft, Afro-Spiritist beliefs and Hinduism-influenced worldviews. Family life and morals within the Christian sphere often do not demonstrate the lordship of Christ. Greater theological training – for leaders as well as laity – is needed and a discipleship mentality must be fostered. Thank God for the minority who do live to please God, and pray that purity and passion might be restored across all denominations.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2 (NIV)
