Thank you, Lord, for making the significance of relationships so evident. Thank you for creating us to be in relationships. We humbly request Your protection over all our relationships and the wisdom to love as You love. May You guide us to approach every relationship in our lives with You in mind. Bless us and let us be an example of You to our neighbors, coworkers and strangers.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no other commandment greater than these.  Mark 12:30-31

“In conclusion I ask patient forbearance one toward another throughout the land, and a determined effort on the part of every citizen to do his share toward cementing a happy union; and I ask the prayers of the nation to Almighty God in behalf of this consummation.”

President Ulysses S. Grant – March 4, 1869
