As storms intensify in the Rocky Mountains and begin their journey towards the eastern plains, we encounter two strikingly contrasting instances of how to cope with adversity.
Cow’s natural response to an approaching storm is to turn away from it and head in the opposite direction, attempting to outrun the storm. However, this futile attempt only increases their difficulties and challenges, as they cannot outrun the storm. Instead of reducing their pain and suffering, they inadvertently exacerbate it by running at the same pace as the storm.
A buffalo responds quite differently to a storm. Instead of fleeing, it charges headlong into the tempest. Similar to a cow, a buffalo will be battered by the initial onslaught of rain and wind. Just like a cow, it will be drenched and exhausted. However, unlike a cow, the buffalo mitigates the pain and suffering by moving through the storm rather than succumbing to its fury.
Face problems head on and move forward with life.
