Lord, new “rights” are claimed at every turn in our culture. Please give the American people discernment to know the difference between God-given rights vs. desires or privileges. Guide us Lord, and grant us the wisdom to recognize counterfeit interpretations of “rights”. Free us, Lord, from attempts to claim rights that are clearly out of Your will and purposes for mankind.
Now we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully. I Timothy 1:8

Equality, liberty, popular sovereignty, the rights of man – these are the elements which we can see and touch. They are ideals. They have their source and their roots in the religious convictions. Unless the faith of the American in these religious convictions is to endure, the principles of our Declaration will perish. We can not continue to enjoy the result if we neglect and abandon the cause.”
