Like promised, Intuit released an update to Quicken 2007 today to run on Lion (10.7). Though it is not really an update, you have to spend $14.99 to get the “new” app. New customer’s are still encouraged to go with Quicken Essentials. If you went to Essentials and want to go back, you can. Make sure you are running the most up-to-date version (1.7.1) and then you can export back to 2007; getting a weird Back to the Future vibe here. It was nice of Intuit to do this, they had about as much backlash for this as Hastings had for trying to separate Netflix into streaming and Qwikster for DVDs. Moral of the story, don’t mess with what people know.
