Plug the device into the computer, hold the home and power button for about 12 seconds until the unit turns off. Continue holding them both down until you see an Apple Logo, let go of the power button, but continue holding the home button until you see an iTunes logo appear on the screen. Then in iTunes under devices choose your device and click the Restore button. This will erase the device, and install a clean system on it.
