Serious issues have been found by many users since the release of 10.7.3 and 10.6 Security Updates. The 10.7.3 update has been pulled in favor of the combo updater, which does not seem to have the CUI error. And those with 10.6 that had updated to the recent security patch found themselves unable to run PowerPC legacy apps via the Rosetta compatibility layer. Today a new version of that update (Security Update 2012-001 v1.1) is now available, hope this resolves the issues.
