Creator of heaven and earth, Your splendor is evident in the gifts You bestow upon us, such as the ability to think, create, and overcome challenges. May we be a source of blessing to those we work with and serve as an embodiment of Your divine presence.

Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.  Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.  Titus 2:6-8

“I cannot think of anything that represents the American people as a whole so adequately as honest work. We perform different tasks, but the spirit is the same. We are proud of work and ashamed of idleness. With us there is no task which is menial, no service which is degrading. All work is ennobling and all workers are ennobled.” President Calvin Coolidge September 1, 1924 Foundations of the Republic

Operation World Pray for Refugees and IDPs : The UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) counted 27.1 million refugees in 2022 and 120 million forcibly displaced people worldwide. 42% of them are under 18 years old. Were these displaced to form a country, it would be the 13th most populous in the world! Recently, most refugees have come from Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and Myanmar. Around 8.5 million Sudanese are displaced by civil war with 3 million fleeing to other countries. Nearly 7 million Syrians – more than 1/3 of its population – were refugees. The end of the civil war may see many return home. 5.4 million Ukrainians and 4.6 million Venezuelans have fled their respective countries. War and conflict in Afghanistan and Myanmar have newly displaced millions more. Africa continues to be wracked by many civil conflicts, Islamist violence, and epidemics. These have combined to generate huge numbers of refugees. Pray that these millions would encounter Jesus, who Himself was a migrant (from heaven to earth) and a refugee (fleeing to Egypt from Bethlehem).

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. II Thessalonians 3:3 (ESV)
